01
Why Sandbox Africa exists
African technology is often fragmented across pitch decks, directories, events and disconnected programmes. Institutions face expensive sourcing and diligence while capable companies struggle to translate technical potential into trusted adoption. Sandbox Africa connects those steps without pretending that visibility itself is an outcome.
02
Our operating system
Discover identifies technologies, builders and institutional needs. Verify creates evidence. Build closes capability gaps through programmes and challenges. Deploy progresses pilots and procurement. Fund connects qualified opportunities to governed capital pathways. Measure preserves the resulting readiness and outcome record.
03
Our evidence model
Independent Technology Reviews establish what was technically assessed. Capital Outcome Reviews separately establish what capital was supported by evidence and what changed afterward. Evidence quality, performance and contribution are kept distinct so later Marketplace, programme or investment activity does not rewrite an earlier conclusion.
04
How institutional relationships work
An Institutional Partner is the institution associated with or sponsoring an opportunity. An Operator is the entity holding or executing the relevant direct operating relationship. Sandbox Africa provides the platform and institutional infrastructure through which the pathway is administered. These roles are shown separately so the public record does not imply a contractual relationship that does not exist.
05
What success means
Success is measured in evidence created, technologies progressed, mandates delivered, pilots and procurement outcomes, capital actually raised or deployed, and what changed afterward—not in registrations, page views or event attendance alone.
